3.4.08 Thoughts and Ramblings

It's 1:42 in the morning. I've done just about nothing today. Considering that I've only been up for a little over 12 hours. I did help clean some of the house for the shower this weekend. I finished level 2 of Crash of the Titans, which I'm really excited about! Oh!! And I discovered firejoemorgan.com !! I've got a ton of stuff to do before I get back to school...

  • Write exegeses
  • Watch movie
  • Write movie review
  • E-mail heaven & hell prof.
  • Finish summer camp applications
  • Finish helpdesk application

Yeah...so much to do, so little time! Oh, so I read the following today, and I couldn't help but think about how hugs are just so amazing...

When we hug, our hearts connect and we know that we are not separate beings. Hugging with mindfulness and concentration can bring reconciliation, healing, understanding, and much happiness. You can practice hugging meditation with a friend, a child, your parents, your partner, or even a tree. To practice, first bow to each other and recognize each other's presence. Then, enjoy three deep, conscious breaths to bring yourself fully into the present moment. Next open your arms and begin hugging, holding each other for three in- and out-breaths. With the first breath, become aware that you are present in this very moment and feel happy. With the second breath, become aware that the other person is present in this moment and feel happy as well. With the third breath, become aware that you are here together, right now on this Earth. We can feel deep gratitude and happiness for our togetherness. Finally, release the other person and bow to each other to show your thanks.

It's pretty rock lobster!

I also think that it stinks that every time I am ready to talk about something, the person I want/need to talk to about that something is not around. Ok, so it's not ALL the time, but it happened tonight. Oh well. I guess I'll live!

Oh, so here is a picture of my brother, Pat, and his fiancee, Maggie.

And the announcement of their engagement:
" LERCH and DONOGHUE
Duane and Linda Lerch, Loveland, OH, are happy to announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Margaret Lerch of Bloomington, Ind., to Patrick Donoghue of Mishawaka, Ind. He is the son of Thomas and Kathleen Donoghue of Upper St. Clair, Pa.

Patrick is a PhD candidate in organic chemistry at the University of Notre Dame, while Maggie is working on her PhD in analytical chemistry at Indiana University.

The ceremony is to take place on May 31, 2008, at St. Columban Church in Loveland.

Best Wishes to the
Happy Couple!
Maggie and Patrick"

Although, they somewhat got it wrong, because Pat is a PhD candidate in INorganic chem., but it's all good. At the end of the day, we can look at the two of them and say "Yes, there still are smart people in the world!"

Oh my, it's now 2:10. I should get some sleep. More later!

May God's Peace Be With You Always,
~Heather~
